    For more than a century the hotel Imperial has received the city’s most distinguished visitors. 1994 it has been voted as the World’s Best Hotel by the readers of “Condé: Nast Traveler”. The Hotel Imperial is an original Wuerttemberg palace inaugurated in 1873 by Emperor Franz Joseph I. The building’s architectural detailing exemplifies the typical style of Vienna’s famous “Ringstrasse”. All the rooms and suites have been carefully restored, combining tradition with modern amenities. Precious antiques capture the spirit of the nineteenth century of Vienna. The restaurant Opus offers traditional Austrian specialities from the Monarchy together with a very creative international cuisine, the café Imperial is the home of the famous Imperialtorte (cake).
